Day 25 of 30. Poems Read from Scotland.

So, I’m on the road with work and tonight’s Poem from Scotland is actually being read from Camden in London, and from the lovely and jam-packed Forward Book of Poetry 2024. I am loving the process of having a daily reading practice from which to choose, but did not want to lumber with a library in my rucksack so brought this collection as it truly speaks to society as a whole. As do the poems of Michael Pedersen, a poet who writes of the personal and gifts it to the public to be made sense of, sat with and loved. For those readers based in the UK he should need little intro, but the following quotes are from poets I have featured earlier in this series, and they carry far more weight than mine -
